* I have been praying for my Mother’s salvation for eighteen years.
* My Mother lives in Japan. She professed to be a Buddhist, Shintoist, Atheist, and a strong believer in self discipline.

* Over the years I learned my Mother will not buy into my lofty words of eloquence and persuasive words of wisdom.
* She is a giving person, loving, kind, pleasant, patient, wise, healthy, and has many friends. She is one of the most difficult persons to find the reason to share Jesus with.

* My mother came from Japan last month to visit us and stayed for three weeks. As the years pass by, I sometimes wonder, how many more days will I get to spend with her.
* My heart would cry out, "Lord, it does not make sense if she left this Earth without knowing You."
* All I could pray for my mother was, "God, You know her. You made her and You love her. You are the only one who could show her that You are real. You know how. I do not."

* Over the past few months, we have been encouraged by our leadership to seek the presence of God.
* I received prayers from people who experienced His tangible presence and we’ve heard testimonies of people being saved, healed or
delivered just by being under the presence of God. As a result, my hunger for His presence has increased.

* During my Mother’s stay, I kept asking God to fill my house and myself, with His presence, knowing that His presence will somehow affect my Mother’s heart.
* Nothing dramatic happened for two and half weeks. (We didn’t gossip about our relatives.) There was much joy in the house, since God fills us with joy in His presence. Psalm 16:11

* Three days before she was scheduled to leave, God gave a vision to Linda Herst. The vision was about my Mother. When my friend shared the vision, my Mother began to cry. All of us were in tears by the overwhelming love that whooshed (surrounded) us like a whirlwind. Linda asked my Mother if she wanted to pray together and Linda led my Mother to the Lord.
* It was God’s presence that softened my Mother’s heart to respond to this invitation Love. She even let me hug her and let me kiss on her cheek at the airport!

* After my Mother left, we had a family friend stay with us for five days. The wife who is my friend, is Japanese. She is Buddhist, Shintoist, Atheist, believes in astrology, eastern philosophy such as Ying-Yang and Fun-sui, and also influenced by New Age philosophy. Several years ago I have tried to convince her to believe in Jesus with persuasive words of wisdom and was not successful.

* This time, I asked God to fill my home and myself with His presence. Nothing dramatic happened for a couple of days. (Except, she didn’t gossip about friends or complain too much about her husband.)

* On the third day, she came to me and said, “That book titled “the Message” on your coffee table is interesting. It is so easy to read.” She did not know it was the Bible.
* Then I knew it was the presence of God that led her to His own Word. I gave her the Message Bible when she left and she later called and thanked me again for it.

* My daughter’s friend in our neighborhood says she likes our home and wants to be a part of our family! (Her parents are divorced.)
* Not because of what I have done for this girl, but it is God’s presence that makes her want to stay.

* Presence of God changes the atmosphere. When we seek the presence of God, the people we live among will see how awesome the work that God does for us is.
* When the Israelites witnessed the presence of God through Moses, the whole community brought all the materials necessary to build the tabernacle and had done all the work just as the Lord had commanded.
* God wants us to seek for and be in His presence. Jesus told us to seek the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is at hand. The more His presence oozes out of us, the more those around us will hunger and thirst for Him.
